Bronco Peak is a tough trail in either direction. While it is typically run starting from Los Pinos Road is it more difficult accessing it from the Gunslinger/Bronco Flats end. This trail is filled with large rocks and ruts that will truly put your vehicles suspension to the test.

There are a few tight rock sections where you can expect some possible body damage. While this trail is fun to drive, the view from the top of Bronco Peak is worth the trip.

Trailhead - The trail head is very well marked and located to the West of Los Pinos Road. The trail begins a moderate climb up to Bronco Peak immediately.

First Rock Garden - This is the first time Bronco Peak will show it's teeth. While traveling up the East side of the peak is not as difficult as going up the West it does offer a challenge and is fun to drive.

Large Rocks - This is a very fun section of the trail. There are several large rocks and slabs to play on. This area can be bypassed and there are multiple lines to try through the rocks, use caution.

Trail #1 Intersection (ATV) - Continue straight onto Bronco Peak Trail. Jeeps are not permitted on the cross trail, #1, even though it might look wide enough here it is restricted from jeeps.

Bronco Peak - The top of Bronco Peak is a great place to stop for lunch and enjoy the view of Lake Morena and the surrounding Cleveland National Forest.

Steep Hill - This section of the trail is very steep and the rock is loose, use extreme caution. There are optional difficult lines to take but are better suited for p hill travel.

Rock Garden - This is a short rock garden filled with some fairly large rocks. It is also the last major obstacle of the trail.

End of Trail - The trail lets out at a junction with Gunslinger and Bronco Flats trails. Turn left to head down Bronco Flats and to Skye Valley Road. Turn right to take Gunslinger to Morena Stokes Valley Road.
